The Nigerian Goodwill Ambassador Awards annually honours and celebrates indexical role models and institutions that are contributing greatly to our social transformation and are committed to gender equality, human capacity building, community development, women empowerment, good governance advocacy, girl child education, selfless service to bring about peace, unity and stability of Nigeria as a nation.
This is the third edition of this event and last year, over 600 leaders, executives, politicians, youth, celebrities and media representatives, attended. The Goodwill Ambassador Awards is the most prestigious humanitarian accolade in Africa recognised by over 76 international NGOs. This event is an open event to individuals and organizations that are positively rending humanitarian services to the needy, which is our primary objective for the award.
Recipients of the Goodwill Ambassador Awards' are participants of the annual fund raising charity project tagged "CELEBRITY LOVE VISITATION" which focuses on community development projects such as; peace building workshops, renovation of schools, scholarship, libraries, boreholes, free medical treatment and donating to orphanage homes.
The 2015 nominees cut across all sectors, from music to movie including Lawmakers, media personalities, philanthropist, NGOs, diplomats, state governments, entrepreneurs, pageantry and social crusaders.

BVN ( Bank Verivication Number ) 26M BANK ACCONT TO BE FROZEN

Barely 24 hours to the deadline for Bank Verification Number, BVN,

less than half of the 52 million bank customers have been registered, a development that may have caused discomfort in the banking industry. Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, had said no extension would be made while non-registered bank customers would be barred from accessing their money or any transaction in their account after tomorrow.

About 26 million bank customers would be affected by the shut-out. An official of the apex bank told Vanguard yesterday that the registration window would still be opened after tomorrow, but unregistered customers would not be allowed access to their accounts.
The official, who claimed that the exact figures of registered bank customers would not be ready until next week, however lamented that “less than half of total bank customers have been captured as at Monday this week…

The Chief Executive Officer of Miss Health Beauty Pageant, Nicholas Bebiem (Nick B) has implored well-meaning Nigerians to support the quest to creating disease awareness through entertainment.

Nick B who made the plea on Wednesday in Abuja during a press conference to unveil the Pageant’s mandate said the pageant is not the conventional pageant in Nigeria but pageant targeted at campaigning against the ignorance of diseases in the country. The CEO stressed that Miss Health Beauty Pageant is saddled with the responsibility of creating awareness on existing diseases as well as nipping in the bod the developing diseases and the possible means of prevention across the federation which is the immediate target. He said every contestant will pick an existing epidemic to do a power-point presentation during the grand finale and urged potential contestants to start braising-up and be ready to research in order to represent well saying there won’t be room for “beauty without intellects” rather “intellects without beauty”. He added that Miss Health Pageant has come to set standard in the pageant industry as the conventional way will not be tolerated in miss health.   

The Miss Health Boss disclosed that nationwide screening will commence soon as the team has been underground to making sure every needed apparatus for the aims and objective of the pageant is put in place for the smooth running of the grand finale which is expected to hold before the end of the year. FORMER BAYELSA STATE GOVERNOR DIEPREYE ALAMIEYESEIGHA HAS BEEN REPORTED DEAD

Former Bayelsa State Governor Diepreye Alamieyeseigha has been reported dead.The Bayelsa State Commissioner for Information, Esueme Dan-Kikili, confirmed to Channels Television that the former governor died of cardiac arrest on Saturday. He reportedly slipped into a coma two days ago and was placed on life support. There were reports during the week that the British Government was determined to resurrect an outstanding case of money laundering against the former governor and had requested for his extradition to London .
